About Marketex

Marketex was founded by Shammah Zuze in July 2026 to bring WhatsApp-based marketing to Zimbabwe's student economy.

Shammah Zuze is an Actuarial Science student at the University of Zimbabwe, based in Harare, and founded Marketex in July 2026 to solve a problem every campus business knows well: students are online for hours a day, but traditional advertising rarely reaches them where they actually spend their attention.

Beyond Marketex, Shammah Zuze is active in academic and youth organisations, including the UZ Actuarial Society and youth empowerment initiatives.

Under Shammah Zuze's leadership, Marketex built a direct channel between local businesses and student communities at institutions including UZ, MSU and HIT, turning WhatsApp status feeds and group chats into a trusted, everyday advertising space.
